Depiction of everyday, common activities is made through the typical characters of their era that turn into historical phantoms. The events pictured are, from the one hand, insignificant, still, from the other hand, they are eternal. The image technique makes it resemble either a fresco with a textured craquelure, or a watercolor painting—such duality emphasizes an illusion of out-of-timeness, visualizing the way time works.
